Creating a Super Grade A Office Building in Nanhai District

The design of Foshan Vanke IFC stands out with its terrace-setback technique, creating a benchmark building with a sense of sculpture. The building showcases a visually striking effect of "multi-layered blocks overlapping," defining the skyline of Guilan Road and reducing the visual impact of the surrounding dense buildings. The facades of the building incorporate patterns and cultural images such as "Running Water," "Fine Dried Noodles," and "Gambiered Canton Gauze," seamlessly integrating local culture and heritage into the design.

One of the unique features of Foshan Vanke IFC is the use of neat and concise curtain walls, along with exquisite and delicate elements, which elevate the overall quality of the project. Located in the Nanhai District of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, Foshan Vanke IFC is strategically positioned in the High-tech Zone, offering favorable location and landscape advantages. The design team, led by Foshan Vanke Properties Dev. Co. Ltd., collaborated with renowned architects and designers including Jim Ho, Ian Pang, Ryan Huang, Samson Tan, Cai Richao, Yang Jiangdong, Meng Longliang, Huang Weidong, Li Wenjun, and Sun Wenfeng to bring this project to life.

Foshan Vanke IFC not only serves as a high-rise office building but also features open-air gardens that provide a comfortable working environment. The building is complemented by commercial facilities and a city square, creating an open and inviting business space. The project's strong sense of layers and iconic image make it the highest construction and landmark building in the Financial High-tech Zone.

The development of Foshan Vanke IFC started in March 2018 in Foshan City, China. Throughout the design process, the team faced challenges in finding a breakthrough point for office design. Their goal was to create super Grade A office spaces with durable and transparent facades, as well as fine architectural details. Additionally, being located on the edge of the financial plaza and far from subway stations presented the challenge of attracting people to the area. The team overcame these challenges by incorporating financial products and employing architectural techniques and landscape planning to create a high-end business space.

Foshan Vanke IFC has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2019, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
